What is Crunchbase?

I stumbled upon Crunchbase.com recently when researching some information about WordPress. 

What is Crunchbase?  According to their site: CrunchBase is the free database of technology companies, people, and investors that anyone can edit. Here, you can learn and edit everything about companies like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, MySpace and Tagged, products like Droid and Google Wave, and people like Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs.

They also list the top bloggers based on techmeme headline appearances.  You can see who has been the most popoular in the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or since the site began in 2006.  For the last 7 days, these were the top 5 but you can see more on their site:
